The Committee, with Jeremy and Raine from Groundspeak, at the end of the day
MegaWales 2011, the UK's fourth geocaching Mega-Event (GC2921G) was held in Brangwyn Hall, Swansea on Sunday 31st July 2011.

The MEGA Wales Committee we would like to thank everybody that attended “Mega Wales 2011 (The UK's 4th Mega Event)” at the Brangwyn Hall today. We trust that you all had an enjoyable day meeting friends, making new acquaintances and finding some of the caches that Swansea and the surrounding area has to offer.

When a number of South Wales geocachers decided two years ago that we would hold the MEGA Event in Wales in 2011 we really did not know what was in stall for us. The journey had its ups and downs but we got there, with 1362 (to be confirmed) geocachers attending MEGA Wales 2011 today. Our journey is now over and we hope you feel that it was a worthwhile day.

The mantle for the next UK MEGA, in the form of the Golden Ammo Can, has been passed onto the North West and we wish them every success. We hope to see you all again at Cartmel Racecourse, South Lakeland, Cumbria on Saturday 11th August 2012.

The Summary Final Accounts are available to download as an EXCEL spreadsheet. If you have any difficulty in reading this file, or would prefer it in a different format, please contact the webmaster.
